Aside from removing the trim and carpet, I also helped my husband with the electrical (he installed 4 can lights on a dimmer switch), tested paint colors, and then primed the wall that had the lines from the built-in. It was a good day.
Tomorrow – paint ceiling white and put a cool green turquoise color on the walls. Then I head to Vail for an evening wedding, sans kiddos no less, and try not to wish I were still working on the office. I have a hard time leaving “project mode.” Wine should help.
Sunday and Monday will bring staining the alder trim and nailing down the hardwood floor. Maybe we will have a floor by Tuesday night’s party. That would be awesome!
